Rand McNally is well known for its USA Road Atlases. They are the second most popular book of all time in sales, behind only the Bible. September of each year brings the release of the new Rand McNally Road Atlas. They do publish several versions of the Atlas and we attempt to keep most in stock throughout the year.

Below are the 2006 Road Atlases by Rand McNally.

The first image is the Standard 2006 Rand McNally Road Atlas. Price is $11.95. Size is 11"x 15"

Next is the Midsize Road Atlas. Price is $7.95 Size is 8"x10"

Next is the Standard Gift Atlas. Same as the Standard Atlas except that it has a vinyl Cover to protect the atlas. Price is $15.95

And then there is the Deluxe Midsize Atlas. Same atlas as the Midsize Atlas only the Deluxe Version is spiral Bound and is priced at $9.95

Next we have the Motor Carrier Atlases. These are usually released in November, but are absolutely essential for Truck Drivers or RV Owners. Along with the standard Rand McNally Maps, the Motor Carrier Atlases include notices of low clearance and weight restrictions on major highways.

First up is the Standard Edition Motor Carrier's Road Atlas. Price is $19.95. Size is 11"x15"

Next is the Deluxe Edition Motor Carrier's Road Atlas. This edition includes the same maps as the Standard Editon and is the same size. The difference is that the pages are laminated in Plastic and the atlas is spiral bound. Price is $79.95.

Finally, there is the 2006 Large Scale Motor Carriers' Road Atlas. With maps that are 32% larger than the Standard edition, and pages that are waterproof and tear proof, and is spiral bound. This Atlas is top of the line!!! Price reflects that quality. $125...

Next we have some of the specialized Road Atlases that Rand McNally Publishes.

First up is the Large Scale Road Atlas. This is consistently one of our best sellers. (possibly due to the ease of use because it is easier to read) Size is the same as the Standard Atlas, but twice as many pages. Price is $19.95

Next is the Deluxe Road Atlas. This is the same size as the Standard Atlas, but is spiral bound. It also includes a 107 page state by state guide with tourism information. Price is $24.95.

Then there is the Kids' Road Atlas. Although not updated each year, we have found that this atlas is very good for getting Kids to understand maps. It allows them to follow the trip on their own map and includes a few "Backseat Games" to help keep them occupied. Price is only $3.95

Rand McNally also publishes decent wall maps of the World and the United States. These Wall Maps are ideal for Classroom or the Kids room at home. Rand McNally currently produces two series of Wall Maps. The first is the "M" Series. These are very colorful but relatively inexpensive maps. The Standard Size is 32" x 50" and is Priced at $4.95 each for the paper version, rolled in a tube. For a laminated (or Plastic coated) version the Price is $19.95.

The "M" Series is also available in a smaller size for $3.95. Size is 21" x 32". Laminated Reduced Version is $8.95

In a Wall Map, Rand McNally is also introducing a "Classic" Series in November of 2005. The Classic Edition is a Current Wall Map with Antique tones and coloration. That is, instead of a blue ocean background, the Classic Edition has a tan background. Size is 32" x 50" and price is $9.95 for a paper map, rolled in a tube. For a laminated Map the price will be $24.95, rolled and tubed.

And Finally, Rand McNally is well known for Reference or Library World Atlases. Although they have reduced the number of Atlases over the recent past, Rand McNally has kept the very good World Atlases as well as been able to keep the prices reasonable. Currently they produce about six quality World Atlases in their Reference line.

First up, is the Goode's World Atlas, 21st Edition. First published in 1923, the Goode's Atlas regularly appears on lists of the Best Atlases in the World. In a convenient 8 1/2" by 11" size and only $39.95, the Goode's Atlas is one that should be in every home, office, school, and library. The quality is superb and the information is exact. One of the more noteworthy features is the listing of places in the back of the Goode's Atlas includes the Latitude and Longitude for each named place.

Next, we have the paperback atlases. The Answer Atlas at $12.95 is an inexpensive Atlas that, as the name implies, will provide the Answers to most School Geography Questions.

The Quick Reference World Atlas and the Quick Reference United States Atlas, are both simple, easy to navigate, reference atlases. That is, they are the Atlas to keep next to the Television so that when a place is mentioned, you can easily find it. Price is only $5.95 each.

Finally, there is the Rand McNally World Atlas. This is a quality Atlas, and it is relatively inexpensive at only $24.95 for a hardback, and $15.95 for a Soft Cover version.

Also Available is the Classic World Atlas. A beautiful hard cover atlas on par with the Goode's Atlas although a slightly larger format. (11"x14") Price is $39.95
